What are the advantages of ceramic ball bearings?

Ceramic ball bearings can withstand high temperatures, have high speeds and long service lives, and also provide insulation.

Ceramic Ball Bearing

Ceramic ball bearings use ceramic balls, which can withstand temperatures above 220 degrees Celsius without expanding or deforming due to high temperatures. In comparison, bearings made of other materials can generally only withstand temperatures of around 160 degrees Celsius. Ceramic balls also do not require lubricating oil, as they are inherently smooth and generate minimal friction during rotation. Ceramic balls can achieve very high rotational speeds, up to 1.5 times faster than those of conventional bearings. Additionally, due to their low friction and self-lubricating properties, ceramic bearings have a significantly longer service life, up to 1-2 times longer than conventional bearings. Furthermore, ceramic material is insulating, allowing ceramic bearings to operate in electrified environments.

Ceramic ball bearings can be applied in various high-speed machine tools and instruments.
