The Self-Aligning Ball Bearings of KOMEL Company are composed of steel balls, an inner ring, an outer ring, and a cage. The inner ring has two raceways, and the outer ring raceway is of an inner spherical shape, thus giving the bearing self-aligning performance. The raceways of the inner ring are arc-shaped and match the steel balls. The inner spherical raceway of the outer ring enables the bearing to automatically adjust the axis deflection within a certain range, compensating for angular deviations caused by installation errors, shaft deflection, and other factors.

The main types include the basic type, the sealed type, and the type with a snap groove. The main application scenarios cover agricultural machinery, textile machinery, conveying equipment, electric motors, and so on.

Internal design category: "E" means optimized internal design, which can improve the bearing's load-bearing capacity; "E2" means further optimized internal design, usually used in high-load applications.

Clearance category: "C2" means radial clearance is less than the normal group, suitable for precision equipment with strict clearance requirements and tight fit; "CN" means normal group radial clearance, suitable for most conventional working conditions; "C3" means radial clearance is greater than the normal group, suitable for scenarios where the bearing has a large dimensional change due to temperature rise during operation.

Taper hole category: "K" means a tapered hole with a taper of 1:12, which is convenient for bearings to be installed on tapered journals. It is often used in occasions where frequent disassembly is required or there are special requirements for the fit between the shaft and the bearing; "K30" means a tapered hole with a taper of 1:30. This taper is used in some special equipment and can provide a tighter fit.

Cage type: "M" indicates a machined brass cage, which is guided by rolling elements. Brass cages have good strength and wear resistance and are suitable for medium-high speed and medium-load conditions; "TN" represents an injection molded card-type polyamide 66 cage, which is ball-centered, light in weight, good in self-lubrication, and low in noise. It is often used for high-speed bearings; "TN9" is an injection molded card-type glass fiber reinforced polyamide 66 cage, which is guided by spherical rolling elements. Compared with "TN", it has higher strength and is more suitable for high-speed and heavy-load occasions.

Seal type: "2RS1" refers to a thin steel plate reinforced nitrile rubber (NBR) contact seal on both sides of the bearing, which can effectively prevent dust and water and prevent grease leakage; "2RZ" means that the bearing has rubber seals (non-contact) on both sides, which can prevent dust and water partially. The sealing effect is slightly inferior to "2RS1", but the friction is smaller and it is suitable for high-speed occasions.

Lubrication and special structure: "VE294" means that there are annular grooves and six lubrication holes on the inner ring, which helps to evenly distribute the lubricating oil, improve the lubrication effect, and extend the life of the bearing; "W64" means that the bearing is filled with solid oil, which does not require additional lubrication for a certain period of time, and is suitable for occasions where maintenance is difficult.

Clearance: "C3" means that the radial clearance is greater than the normal clearance, and the application scenario is similar to SKF's "C3"; "C4" has a larger clearance than "C3" and is suitable for extreme working conditions with high temperature, high speed or large difference in thermal expansion coefficient between the shaft and the housing material.

Conical hole: "K" also means a tapered hole with a taper of 1:12, which is easy to install and disassemble and can adapt to different shaft neck matching requirements.

Cage: "TV" represents a glass fiber reinforced polyamide (nylon) cage, which has good self-lubrication and lightweight characteristics, and is suitable for high-speed self-aligning ball bearings; "M" means a solid brass cage, which is guided by rolling elements and performs well under medium and high speeds and medium loads.

Sealing type: ".2RS" means with sealing covers at both ends, which are generally rubber sealing covers, which can prevent dust and impurities from entering the interior of the bearing and play a certain waterproof role; ".2Z" means with dust covers at both ends, which are mainly used for dust prevention, and the sealing effect is slightly weaker than that of rubber sealing covers.

Clearance type: "C2", "CN", "C3" have similar meanings to SKF, which respectively represent less than the normal group clearance, normal group clearance, and greater than the normal group clearance; in addition, there is "C1", which means that the radial clearance is less than "C2", which is used for precision equipment with extremely high clearance accuracy requirements.

Seal type: "Z" means with a steel plate dust cover on one side; "ZZ" means with steel plate dust covers on both sides; "D" means with a contact rubber seal on one side; "DD" means with a contact rubber seal on both sides; "V" means with a non-contact rubber seal on one side; "VV" means with a non-contact rubber seal on both sides.

Cage type: "M" represents brass cage; "T" represents phenolic laminated cloth tube cage, which has good self-lubrication and vibration reduction performance; "TN" represents injection molded nylon cage, which is lightweight and self-lubricating, and is often used in high-speed applications.

Special design type: "N" represents outer ring outer diameter with retaining groove; "NR" represents outer ring outer diameter with retaining groove and retaining ring, which is used for axial positioning of the bearing in the housing hole to prevent axial movement.

 

Application

 

Agricultural machinery: such as the transmission shafts and support shafts of tractors, harvesters and other equipment. Due to the complex agricultural operating environment, the equipment may be subject to greater vibration and impact during operation, and the shaft is also prone to deformation. The self-aligning performance of the self-aligning ball bearing can adapt to these working conditions and ensure the normal operation of the equipment.

Textile machinery: used in spindles, rollers and other parts of textile machinery. Textile machinery has high requirements for the rotation accuracy and stability of bearings. Self-aligning ball bearings can compensate for installation errors and shaft deformation to a certain extent, ensure the smooth operation of textile machinery, and improve product quality.

Conveying equipment: such as belt conveyors, chain conveyors, etc. The shafts of these equipment may deflect during operation due to uneven tension of the conveyor belt or installation errors of the equipment. Self-aligning ball bearings can effectively compensate for these deflections and ensure the normal operation of the conveying equipment.

Motor: In some small motors, self-aligning ball bearings are used to support the rotor shaft of the motor.
