The remarkable feature of the Split Taper Roller Bearing produced by KOMEL is that their bearing rings (inner ring and outer ring) can be axially split into two halves. This unique structure breaks the integral form of traditional tapered roller bearings and greatly facilitates the installation and disassembly process. During installation, unlike traditional bearings, there is no need to axially move the shaft or other complex components. Instead, only the two halves of the bearing need to be installed on the shaft and the bearing housing respectively, and then they are combined into a complete bearing through a specific connection method (such as bolt connection, etc.).
Tapered Rollers: Tapered rollers are used as the rolling elements. The tapered rollers have a line contact with the raceways of the inner and outer rings. This contact method enables the bearing to more effectively distribute the pressure when bearing the load, thus having a high load-bearing capacity. When bearing the radial load, the tapered rollers roll on the raceways of the inner and outer rings, transmitting the radial force to the bearing housing; when bearing the axial load, the contact angle between the rollers and the raceways enables the axial force to be effectively borne and transmitted by the bearing.
