The Single Row Angular Contact Ball Bearing produced by KOMEL consists of an inner ring, an outer ring, a row of steel balls and a cage. There is a rib on one side of the outer ring or inner ring to limit the axial displacement of the steel balls.
Contact angle (α): determines the axial load capacity. Common angles are 15° (C type), 25° (AC type), and 40° (B type).
Core characteristics
Unidirectional axial load: can only withstand axial force in one direction. The reverse axial force requires another bearing (such as paired use).
Combined load capacity: The axial load capacity increases with the increase of the contact angle (when α=40°, the axial load capacity is about 2.3 times that of α=15°).
Preload-able: Apply preload force through paired installation to improve rigidity and rotation accuracy.
