The Split Spherical Roller Bearing produced by KOMEL Company are different from ordinary spherical roller bearings. Their components such as the inner ring, outer ring and cage can be axially split into two halves. This structure makes it convenient during installation and disassembly. Without the need to axially move the shaft or other related components, the bearing can be installed onto the shaft or removed from the shaft, greatly improving the convenience of installation and maintenance. It is especially suitable for those occasions where integral installation and disassembly are difficult, such as large motors, mining machinery, metallurgical equipment, etc.
Aligning Function: It has good aligning performance. The rollers are drum-shaped, and the raceways of the inner and outer rings are spherical. It can automatically adapt to the misalignment between the shaft and the bearing housing, allowing the shaft to tilt within a certain angular range. Thus, it ensures the normal operation of the bearing and reduces the additional stress and wear caused by misalignment.
Rolling Elements and Cage: Cylindrical rollers are usually used as the rolling elements. With a relatively large number of rollers, it can bear a large radial load and a certain axial load. The cage is used to separate the rollers, guide the rollers to roll correctly, ensure the uniform distribution of the rollers, and reduce the friction and collision between the rollers.
